Trailer for Gravity starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock may be too intense

gravitynews

Maybe it’s me, but films like this always mess with me because I can’t help placing myself on the receiving end of these desperate situations, that and the whole loneliness thing…argh…gut wrenching. I think the last time I felt like this was when I watched the Chris Kentis film Open Water. Any of you who’ve seen that movie knows what I’m talking about when I say “you need strong drink after that one”.

Director Alfonso Cuarón (Great Expectations, Y Tu Mamá También, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Children of Men) rolls out another cheerful diddy about two astronauts played by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, that are stranded in space. This film has been on several cinephiles radars for a long time and now Warner Brothers has finally released this sneak peak trailer. It starts out beautiful, but get’s unsettling real quick. You may want to lay off the Pepsi when you see this one in the theaters cause your not gonna want to miss a second of this intense film, this one will be a real test of endurance.

Dr. Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they’ve lost any link to Earth… and any chance for rescue.
